A man in his 60s, identified as A, was fined for contacting a woman over 90 times a day, despite her clear rejection.
On the 12th, the Ulsan District Court’s Criminal Division 3 (Chief Judge Lee Jae-wook) announced that A was sentenced to a fine of 10 million won for violating the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes.

In May of last year, A was prosecuted for sending 92 messages via mobile messenger to a woman in her 40s, identified as B, or visiting her home during a single day.
A expressed romantic interest in B, whom he had known for 10 years. However, feeling that A was becoming obsessive, B stated, "Please stop contacting me," expressing her refusal. Nevertheless, A continued to reach out.
The court explained the sentencing reasoning, stating, "He repeatedly and persistently contacted and visited the victim against her will, causing her anxiety and fear."
