Apple Adds Content Creation Features to AirPods
Apple is evolving the AirPods from a simple music listening device into a specialized tool for content creation.
On June 9th (local time) at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) held at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple announced that it would add studio-quality audio recording and remote camera control features to the 'AirPods 4' and 'AirPods Pro 2'.
**Studio-Quality Audio Recording**
**Remote Camera Control**

With this update, AirPods users will be able to record high-quality audio that sounds as if it was recorded in a professional studio, even in noisy environments or while on the go. This is expected to greatly benefit content creators such as interviewers, podcasters, and singers.
Additionally, the voice separation technology is expected to enhance call quality, making it clearer. This feature will be available across Apple's major devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
**Improved Content Creation Convenience with Remote Camera Control**
One noteworthy new feature of the AirPods is the camera remote control function. Users can remotely start or stop video recording with a simple tap on the AirPods.
Apple explained that this feature would be particularly useful for users capturing their performances, like singing or dancing.

This function can be used not only with Apple's native camera application but also with third-party camera apps, increasing its utility.
Apple has begun providing these new AirPods features through the 'Apple Developer Program' starting today.
A beta version will be released next month through the 'Apple Beta Software Program,' and general users will be able to experience these features with the upcoming iOS 26 update in October.
However, Apple noted that some features may change and may not be available depending on the language or region.
