“‘Not Alone’, Korean PD Awards Best Program…Kian84 Left an Emotional Impression with His Marathon”

MBC-TV's 'I Live Alone' has been honored with the Best Program Award at the Korean PD Awards. An MBC official stated on the 8th, "The Korean Federation of PDs recently announced the results of the '37th Korean PD Awards.' 'I Live Alone' received the Best Program Award in the television entertainment category."

The episode 'I Live Alone – Kian84's Race Day in New York,' broadcast last year, was selected. It captured Kian84's challenge of participating in one of the six major marathons in the world (the New York Marathon). Kian84's portrayal of himself persevering to reach the finish line delivered inspiration and excitement. His vivid challenge recorded high viewership ratings and generated significant buzz.

This episode was also recognized as an award-winning piece in the television entertainment category of the 'PD of the Month' award in December of last year. The PD Federation praised it for its storytelling and the viewers' favorable reception.

The judging committee noted, "Kian84 showcased his determination by not giving up on keeping his promise to himself, thereby presenting the value of challenge and true emotion."

Meanwhile, the Korean PD Awards are given to PDs and broadcasters who have contributed to free media and social and cultural development. It is an esteemed ceremony judged and selected by current PDs. The awards ceremony will take place on the 9th at 3 PM at the KBS Annex Public Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. A recorded broadcast will be aired on KBS-1TV on the 15th at 2:30 PM.
