A NH employee breaks into elderly couple’s home and steals 20 million won
On the morning of the 4th, the Pocheon Police Department in Gyeonggi Province announced that they will be sending a 30-year-old man, referred to as A, to the prosecution on charges of robbery and injury after he broke into the home of a customer from the NH bank where he works to steal valuables.
The police mentioned that they will continue supplementary investigations as the exact motive for the crime has not yet been revealed.
A broke into a third-floor apartment in Eoryong-dong, Pocheon, around 4 AM on the 28th of last month. This apartment was occupied by an elderly couple in their 80s who were customers of the NH branch where A works.
A threatened the elderly couple with a weapon and bound them with plastic straps used for organizing wires, before fleeing with valuables and cash amounting to 20 million won. During this incident, the elderly man, identified as B, sustained an arm injury and was transported to the hospital.

Employee goes to work as usual after crime, apprehended through CCTV analysis
What was shocking was A's actions.
He arrived at his workplace, the NH bank, at around 8:10 AM, approximately four hours after the crime, without any change in his routine.
Through analyzing the apartment's CCTV, the police confirmed that the suspect was an employee of the NH bank and swiftly arrested A, who was working at the counter.
During the arrest, gold valued at approximately 70 don was found in A's bag, and the stolen 20 million won was reportedly deposited into his own bank account.

The victims, the B couple, are known to be important customers of the local NH bank, and it has been reported that they withdrew approximately 300 million won earlier this month.
A police official stated, "It is clear that A needed money, but the specific motive requires further investigation," and added, "We are currently reviewing relevant documents, including financial transactions."
It has been reported that A has debts requiring him to repay millions of won each month.
The police plan to continue supplementary investigations to determine the exact scale and circumstances of his debts, as well as any pressure relating to debt collection.
