NewJeans Achieve 600 Million with ‘Super Shy’… Cumulative Streaming Exceeds 5 Billion

NewJeans proved their strong chart-topping power by adding another song with over 600 million streams.

According to Spotify, on the 30th of last month, NewJeans achieved another song with over 600 million streams. Their second EP 'Get Up' triple title track 'Super Shy' has been streamed 600.35 million times.

This is their third song to surpass 600 million streams. Previously, their first single title track 'OMG' and the track 'Ditto' each recorded 700 million and 600 million streams respectively.

'Super Shy' was released in July last year. It stands out with Jersey club rhythms, an exciting beat, and bouncy sounds. The song gained worldwide popularity immediately after its release.

It achieved career highs on various global charts. It ranked 48th on the US Billboard Main Song Chart 'Hot 100' and reached 52nd on the UK Official Singles Chart 'Top 100'.

NewJeans' milestones do not stop there. As of the 31st of last month, they surpassed a cumulative total of 5 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement came just 2 years and 1 month after their debut.

To date, they have released a total of 13 tracks that have surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. Besides 'OMG', 'Ditto', and 'Super Shy', 'Hype Boy' has over 500 million streams and 'Attention' has over 400 million streams.

Additionally, 'New Jeans', 'ETA', and 'Cookie' have each surpassed 200 million streams. Moreover, 'Hurt', 'Cool With You', 'ASAP', 'Get Up', and 'How Sweet' have each recorded over 100 million streams, showcasing their long-term success.

Meanwhile, NewJeans has been nominated for 'Best Group' and 'Best K-pop' at the '2024 MTV Video Music Awards' (2024 MTV VMA).
