NCT WISH set a new record in first week sales, surpassing the highest numbers among debut groups this year.
NCT WISH released the Korean version of their second single album 'Songbird' on the 1st. According to Hanteo Chart, the new album sold 537,998 copies within a week of its release.
This marks a career high for the group. The first-week sales more than doubled compared to their previous album. Their debut single 'WISH' sold 280,478 copies in the same time frame.
It's also the highest first-week sales record for any K-pop artist debuting this year, including both male and female groups. The group has proven their popularity just four months after debut.
'Songbird' is an album about love and happiness. It contains a total of two tracks, including the title track of the same name and the B-side 'Tears Are Falling.'
The title track 'Songbird' is a pop dance song characterized by its addictive guitar riff. The lyrics convey a message of flying together, inspired by a bird of fortune.
Meanwhile, NCT WISH is scheduled to appear on music programs such as SBS M 'The Show' on the 9th and MBC M 'Show! Champion' on the 10th.
