The mother of a worker who tragically lost his life in the Mugunghwa train accident on the Gyeongbu Line in Cheongdo, North Gyeongsang Province, broke down in tears upon facing her deceased son at the hospital's mortuary.
On the 19th, News1 reported that the family of 30-year-old A, who lost his life in the Mugunghwa train accident around 7 PM that day in Cheongdo, arrived at Daenam Hospital's mortuary.
According to the report, A's family, who lived in a different area, arrived late at the hospital after receiving the news of his death.

Upon arriving at Daenam Hospital with assistance from her husband, A's mother wailed, "Mom is here," and “Were you waiting for me?”
Guided by hospital staff, the grieving family entered the mortuary and cried out as they confronted A's body.
A's mother, upon seeing her child's remains, cried out, "It's okay, mom is here," and “What will I do if you leave me behind?”
After confirming the body, the mother eventually collapsed while moving, and hospital staff provided assistance to ensure she could stabilize.

**Status of the Cheongdo Train Accident and Ongoing Investigation**
Meanwhile, at around 10:52 AM on the 19th, an accident occurred when workers on the tracks were hit by the Mugunghwa train heading towards Jinju at the 356.4 km point in Samshin-ri, Hwayang-eup, Cheongdo County. The accident resulted in two fatalities, four serious injuries, and one minor injury.
The Gyeongbuk Police Agency has secured the train's black box at Jinju Station, where the train stopped, and has begun analyzing it.
The memorials for the deceased A and B have been set up at Daenam Hospital, and reports indicate that both victims were young men in their 30s.
