The duo had been residing together in the officetel. Police believe they may have made an extreme choice based on CCTV footage and surrounding circumstances. There are reportedly no indications of foul play, and no suicide note was found.

Living Together in the Officetel… A Sought Emergency Welfare Counseling After Husband's Death

According to Hankyoreh News, A lost her husband last year and moved from Siheung City to Suwon City with her daughter in December. One month prior, in November of the same year, A had sought emergency welfare counseling in Siheung, citing financial difficulties.

However, A's cash assets under her name became an issue at that time. A representative from Siheung City explained to the media, "A explained that she intended to use some of her cash assets for the deposit and moving costs of the officetel and was informed that she could reapply for emergency welfare in Suwon after her move."

Police Request Autopsy from National Forensic Service… “No Signs of Foul Play”
