Missing reported Gwangju middle school girl found at PC bang in Haenam four days after report

A runaway middle school girl returns safely to her family's embrace after four days.

A 14-year-old middle school girl, reported missing in Gwangju, was found in a PC cafe in Haenam after four days and returned to her family.

According to the Gwangju Southern Police Station on the 24th, at around 8:40 AM that day, a missing person report was filed by the parents of the girl, referred to as A, indicating that she had not returned home for four days.

Investigations revealed that A left home on the 20th, claiming she was going to an academy, and did not return.

The police immediately launched a search and used mobile phone location tracking technology to determine that A was in the Haenam area of Jeollanam-do. Consequently, the Gwangju Southern Police contacted the Haenam Police Station to request collaborative investigation.

Using mobile phone location tracking technology, the Haenam Police quickly conducted a search, and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes later, at around 10:10 AM the same day, A was found in a PC cafe in Haenam.

A was with a friend in the PC cafe and was safely returned to her family immediately upon discovery. A police interview confirmed that A did not have any health issues and there was no indication of involvement in any crime.
