Jeong Eun-kyung, the nominee for Minister of Health and Welfare, reports assets exceeding 5.6 billion won
It has been confirmed that Jeong Eun-kyung, who has been nominated as the first Minister of Health and Welfare in the Lee Jae-myung government, reported total assets of 5,617,779,000 won.
According to the personnel hearing request submitted to the National Assembly on the 4th, nominee Jeong reported an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul (worth 1.262 billion won), jointly owned with her spouse, as well as personal deposits totaling 1.356 billion won and private bonds amounting to 64 million won.

Details of spouse and children's assets revealed
It appears that Jeong's spouse owns two parcels of farmland located in Bongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do.
These include farmland measuring 817 pyeong (2,701㎡) valued at 73.2 million won and farmland measuring 843 pyeong (2,786㎡) valued at 96.67 million won. Additionally, deposits amounting to 1.362 billion won and stocks worth 521.17 million won held in the spouse's name were also reported.
The stock portfolio includes 5,000 shares of 'Changhae Ethanol,' a company producing raw materials for hand sanitizers.
In addition, the spouse holds 400 shares of Samsung Electronics, 4,790 shares of LG Uplus, 500 shares of LG Display, 5,700 shares of Shinhan Financial Group, and 1,013,333 shares of the private company OpenPop.com.

Also reported were private bonds worth 200 million won and a 2007 Sonata valued at 1.97 million won.
Assets and military service status of the children
Jeong's eldest son was reported to possess a 2024 model Santa Fe Hybrid vehicle (valued at 43.44 million won), deposits of 32.744 million won, and stocks worth 6.251 million won.
The younger son reported deposits of 18.443 million won and stocks valued at 6.249 million won.
According to the personnel hearing request, both the eldest and younger sons have completed their military service after enlisting as private first class in the Army.
