Incident of Scissors Disturbance at a Middle School in Gangdong-gu

A teenage male student was arrested on the spot for special intimidation after causing a disturbance with a pair of school scissors at a middle school in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.

On the 11th, the Gangdong Police Station announced that a teenage male student, referred to as A, was apprehended on the spot for disturbing the peace with a pair of scissors at a middle school in Amsa-dong, Gangdong-gu at around 9:04 AM.

At the time of the incident, it was confirmed that A was in the same space as a supervising teacher. It is reported that there were no other students nearby, suggesting that the spread of additional damage has been prevented.

According to police officials, there were no reported casualties resulting from the incident. The responding officers seized the scissors that A was holding, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact motive and circumstances of the incident.

A police official stated, "A does not fall under the category of a minor subject to legal responsibility," and the police plan to closely examine A's psychological state, everyday school life, and relationships with teachers.
