Fifth-Month Middle School Daughter Refuses to Bathe: "Not Showering is My Identity"
Even during the sweltering heat of summer, a 40s housewife has been troubled by her middle school daughter who hasn’t bathed for 5 months, as aired on JTBC's 'Incident Team' on the 5th.
This unusual case draws attention as it simultaneously highlights adolescent hygiene awareness and parental concerns about upbringing.

The mother revealed that her daughter hasn’t bathed at all since taking a shower before starting middle school in March, a period now exceeding 5 months.
Originally, the daughter had a habit of showering about once every ten days. However, after randomly watching a video called "Guinness World Records of People Who Don’t Bathe" last November, she began to think, "Being dirty looks cool."

The mother explained that her daughter has a slim physique and doesn’t sweat much, which may be why she doesn’t feel uncomfortable.
While she changes her outerwear daily, she only changes her underwear about once every ten days. Notably, when she does smell, she douses herself with perfume to mask the odor.
The Family's Pain: "The Bed is Full of Grime"

The mother also expressed serious distress due to the foul odor coming from her daughter, who shares a room with her. Particularly, the daughter's bed is said to be covered in grime, requiring cleaning every morning.
When the mother encourages her daughter to bathe, the daughter responds with amusement, saying, "Not showering is my identity. I think it's funny that you are disgusted, Mom." The one positive aspect is that she does wash her face, brush her teeth, and wash her hair daily.

Interestingly, while the daughter seems indifferent to hygiene, she is quite particular about table manners.
She refuses to eat food that someone else has touched, expressing dislike for anything that has made contact with saliva, and always prefers to serve soup or side dishes separately.
The mother shared, "My husband dismisses it casually, saying it’s better than being obsessive-compulsive about cleanliness," adding, "It frustrates me that my daughter confidently claims, ‘I have the right not to bathe.’"
