Korean McDonald's, continuing the regional coexistence project 'Taste of Korea,' has garnered attention by launching 'Suncheon Plum McFizz' alongside the 'Changnyeong Garlic Burger.'

On the 11th, Korean McDonald's announced that the resale of the 'Changnyeong Garlic Burger' and 'Changnyeong Garlic Chicken Burger,' which marked the beginning of the 'Taste of Korea' campaign, has started today (11th).

Along with this, they introduced the new menu item 'Suncheon Plum McFizz,' which looks so refreshing just by looking at it.

The day before (10th), Korean McDonald's released a photo of a bottle with a red cap containing plum syrup on their official X (formerly Twitter), with the caption, "That thing you see on everyone's balcony… Coming August 11."

This was a spoiler for the 'Suncheon Plum McFizz' launched today (11th). On this day, some netizens made clear guesses that a drink related to plums would be coming out.

As plums are widely known as a natural digestive aid, 'Suncheon Plum McFizz' is expected to create a 'perfect combination' with various burgers, including the relaunched 'Changnyeong Garlic Burger.'

Previously, Korean McDonald's has introduced new menu items using local ingredients, starting with Changnyeong garlic in 2021, and followed by Boseong green tea, Jindo green onion, Jinju pepper, and others.

Last month, they launched the 'Iksan Sweet Potato Mozzarella Burger and Muffin' made from Iksan sweet potatoes in over 400 stores nationwide, breaking the record by surpassing 1 million cumulative sales in just nine days.

Meanwhile, McDonald's 'Taste of Korea' project is a campaign that uncovers and highlights the value of lesser-known local ingredients, receiving positive reviews for capturing both taste and meaning.
