‘NCT’ Doyoung donated 100 million won to support nutrition and education for children worldwide. The Korean Committee for UNICEF (Chairman Jung Gap-young) announced on the 7th that “Doyoung donated 100 million won for children in celebration of ‘World Children’s Day’ on the 20th.”
Doyoung has continuously contributed to causes for children and young women from low-income families. This time, he is supporting the healthy growth of children. He personally selected the recipients and goods for donation.
Doyoung’s donation will be fully used for nutrition education support kits, which consist of relief items in health, nutrition, water hygiene, and education. Donors can choose the kit they wish to support. Doyoung plans to deliver about 150,000 high-nutrition biscuits and 3,300 backpacks to children in need.
Doyoung expressed, “I wanted to give back the support from fans I met during the tour,” and added, “I hope all children worldwide grow up healthy and bright. I wish them a happy Children’s Day.” Doyoung has also joined the ‘UNICEF Honors Club,’ a group of major donors. UNICEF stated, “It will be a hope for children enduring a tough winter due to war and natural disasters.”
Meanwhile, Doyoung released a new song, ‘A Dazzling Cold,’ on the 6th, which contains a message of support for all youths. The song was co-created by Doyoung and composer Seo Dong-hwan.
