Legal Dispute Ongoing Between Missing Woman's Family and Suspect

Lee Yoon-hee’s family has raised suspicions about Mr. A's involvement in the case from the early stages of the disappearance. Recently, they took action by placing Lee's life-size figure in locations including Mr. A's commuting route and around his home.

In response, Mr. A is pursuing legal action by filing a complaint against Lee's family for violations related to stalking laws.

A police official stated, “The suspect has admitted to all charges of property damage, and the vandalism was clearly captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV), so we believe the charges have been sufficiently substantiated and have referred the case to the prosecution.”

Meanwhile, Lee Yoon-hee, who was a veterinary student at Jeonbuk National University, went missing after attending a semester-end gathering with more than 40 professors and classmates on June 5, 2006. The next morning, she returned to her studio apartment, which was located 1.5 kilometers from the gathering place, but was never seen again.

At the time, the police did not preserve the scene of the disappearance and allowed Lee's friends to clean her studio apartment. A week after the incident, someone accessed Lee's computer, but the investigation failed to uncover this process.
