A woman in her 30s was killed in a shocking incident at an officetel in Suji District, Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, after being stabbed with a weapon in a basement parking lot.
Even more shocking is the fact that the perpetrator is an acquaintance who had been reported for criminal allegations by the victim three months prior.

According to police on the 21st, at around 2:40 AM that day, a man in his 30s, A, stabbed a woman in her 30s, B, multiple times with a weapon he had prepared in advance, killing her, then fled the scene.
About three hours after the incident, at around 5:45 AM, police were dispatched following a report from a resident, but B was already dead at that time.
Footage released by JTBC on that day shows that the blood trail, which started on the third basement level, continued down the parking lot aisle to the lower floors, likely as a result of B's attempts to escape.
Police confirmed through analysis of closed-circuit (CC) TV footage that A fled the scene immediately after the crime in his vehicle toward Gangwon Province.
A's vehicle was found abandoned in front of a school in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province, with a weapon believed to be used in the crime discovered inside the car.
Currently, police are focusing their search for A around Hongcheon, where he abandoned his vehicle, while not ruling out the possibility that A may have made an extreme choice, expanding their search.

This incident is highly likely to be a planned crime rather than a simple impulsive act. According to police, A had prepared the weapon and the vehicle in advance, targeting the victim specifically.
Connection to a previous report of a crime
Previously, A was reported for criminal allegations by victim B in May of this year.
It has been confirmed that B reported A for attempted rape when he visited the massage parlor where she worked.
At the time, A reportedly claimed during police questioning that it was not rape, but rather prostitution.
A police official stated, "There have been two reports between the two individuals," and explained, "It was not related to domestic violence or stalking."
However, it is assumed that there had been considerable conflict between the two since the previous report, leading to increased criticism of the police's failure to protect the victim.

Victim B was reported by her family to have gone to the restaurant within the officetel building to learn how to work but ended up meeting with her tragic fate.
Police plan to conduct an autopsy on B's body at the National Forensic Service to determine the exact cause of death.
This incident highlights a tragic case where a woman who reported criminal victimization was murdered by her perpetrator three months later, revealing the flaws in the victim protection system following such reports.
A review of whether police protection measures for the victim were adequately executed, along with the urgent need for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future, has become pressing.
