Actress Shin Min-ah has returned with a romantic comedy after about two years. Not only will she showcase her signature loveliness as the 'romantic comedy queen,' but she will also exude a different, bolder charm.

On the afternoon of the 19th, tvN·TVing original drama 'Because I Don't Want to Lose' held an online production presentation. Director Kim Jung-sik, Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi, and Han Ji-hyun were in attendance.

'Because I Don't Want to Lose' is a romance drama depicting the love story between a woman who held a wedding because she didn't want to suffer losses and a man who became a fake groom because he didn't want to cause any harm.

The drama is a collaboration between Director Kim Jung-sik of 'Work Later, Drink Now Season 1' and 'Strong Girl Namsoon' and writer Kim Hye-young of 'Her Private Life.'

Director Kim introduced the work as "a story with fun, soft love and touching, realistic elements," and added, "The characters are diverse, and the relationships stand out."

What makes this drama uniquely attractive? "It's a work that gets more interesting in the latter half," he explained. "Often, we can't say what's on our minds in life. Ha-young does it for us, and that feels exhilarating."

Shin Min-ah plays the lead role of 'Son Ha-young.' Ha-young is an expert in cost-benefit analysis who dislikes losing in both life and love. Facing a crisis of missing a promotion at work, she orchestrates a fake wedding.

Shin Min-ah shared that "the script was fun," and "the character was clear-cut, and the story it wanted to tell was evident. The human touch within the relationships drew me in," explaining her reason for participating.

She showed her special affection for the project, saying, "The relationships among the actors seemed light but were deeply intertwined. I think each character is relatable and can move many hearts."

Shin Min-ah adds depth to Ha-young's circumstances, highlighting the character's charm. The drama catches viewers' attention with high maturity level conversations and strong language.

"Ha-young is a character who constantly calculates, 'Is this a loss for me?'" she recalled. "She's a sparkling character who balances boldness and loveliness, and I wanted to bring out those traits."

The romantic comedy chemistry with Kim Dae-young (playing Kim Ji-wook) is also a point of anticipation. Kim Ji-wook is a night-shift convenience store worker known as a citizen police officer and neighborhood hero. He receives an absurd marriage proposal from Ha-young, who is his frequent troublesome customer.

Kim Young-dae shared, "I found the realistic script very enjoyable," and added, "I didn't hesitate to take the role because I had the chance to work with senior Shin Min-ah. It was an honor."

He said, "This is the most realistic character I've played so far," and added, "I think viewers will also find familiar aspects in him. That's the charm of Kim Ji-wook."

The chemistry between Shin Min-ah and Kim Young-dae is highly anticipated. Kim Young-dae explained, "When I first met senior Shin Min-ah, I was very nervous. There were moments on set when she appeared more like Son Ha-young than herself."

He expressed his admiration, saying, "She showed so much consideration and worked hard. It was truly touching." He added that he hopes they are called the 'Bang Bang Couple.'

Shin Min-ah also expressed satisfaction, saying, "On set, Ji-wook always spoke formally to Ha-young, which felt natural and comfortable, yet there was a bit of tension."

Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun also joined, adding to the show's completeness. Lee Sang-yi plays 'Bok Kyu-hyun,' a third-generation chaebol CEO who does not believe in destiny or marriage.

Han Ji-hyun transforms into 'Nam Ja-young,' a famous adult web novelist who only writes about love. Her stable acting adds vibrancy to the drama, forming another axis with Lee Sang-yi.

Lastly, Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun mentioned that "the love for family is touching," and that "many interesting relationships and forms of love are depicted."

Shin Min-ah and Kim Young-dae concluded by saying, "Look forward to realistic dialogues" and "All the actors worked very hard. Please enjoy the love stories of each couple."

'Because I Don't Want to Lose' is a joint project by tvN and TVing. It will premiere on tvN at 8:50 PM on the 26th and will also be available on TVing as VOD.
