Lim Young-woong, Performing Even During Mourning Period…”Promise with Fans Who Waited”

Singer Lim Young-woong will continue his scheduled concert during the national mourning period. Fish Music announced on the 31st through Lim Young-woong’s fan cafe that “the concert will be carried out to keep the promise with fans, staff, and related parties who have been waiting for a long time.”

They explained that this decision was made after much deliberation. “We will do our best to prepare with a heavy heart so that this performance can be a moment of comfort and hope,” they added. However, they promised a full refund to fans who do not wish to attend the concert. The agency informed that “a full refund without minimal fees is possible until the day before the performance.”

Lim Young-woong held a solo concert ‘Lim Young-woong Recital’ (RE:CITAL) at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul from the 27th to the 29th and plans to hold it again from January 2 to 4 next year. During the performance, a moment of silence was observed. On the 29th, he expressed, “Upon hearing the news of a precious life passing away, I felt deep sorrow and wanted to send my condolences.”

Meanwhile, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 had an accident while landing on the runway at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province. During the belly landing process, it collided with airport facilities and was engulfed in flames. Out of 181 people, excluding two crew members, all 179 passengers died in the accident. The government has declared Muan as a special disaster area and set the mourning period until the 4th of next month.
