Singer Lim Young-woong has also captivated movie theaters. The concert film "Lim Young-woong | I'm Hero the Stadium" (hereinafter referred to as "The Stadium") attracted 100,000 viewers even before its official release, showcasing its overwhelming ticket power.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, "The Stadium" achieved a cumulative booking of 101,534 tickets as of the afternoon of the 22nd. It topped the real-time reservation rate with 27.8%.
"The Stadium" began booking on the 14th. Upon opening, it went straight to No. 1 in overall reservation rates and CGV reservation charts. This record was achieved six days before the official release (August 28).
"The Stadium" includes Lim Young-woong's performance at the Seoul World Cup Stadium held last May. Besides sharing the atmosphere with 100,000 "Hero Generation" fans, it also reveals behind-the-scenes stories of the stadium concert.
The film promises rich content, offering behind-the-scenes views and interviews with the production crew who worked together for a year. It also features Lim Young-woong's solid live singing skills and performances, providing a comprehensive viewing experience.
Lim Young-woong's concert film will be released simultaneously in IMAX and ScreenX special theaters for the first time, boasting giant screens and rich sound. Fans are already showing an enthusiastic response.
The large-scale mega crew performance is particularly anticipated. During the concert, Lim Young-woong received favorable reviews for his spectacular stage direction and visual effects reminiscent of the Olympic opening ceremony.
As a special offer for the first week of release, special posters and photocards, along with a photo zone exhibiting the outfits Lim Young-woong wore during the concert, will be available. The movie will be released on the 28th at CGV theaters nationwide.
