
Actress Lim Ji-yeon received recognition for her acting skills at an international film festival.
Lim Ji-yeon attended the 9th London Asian Film Festival held at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, UK, on the 23rd (local time), and was awarded the 2024 Best Actor Award.
Lim was praised for her unique portrayal of Jeong Yoon-seon, a character with hidden depths, in the film “Revolver.”
She received the Best Actor Award after being evaluated by the festival’s executive director Jeon Hye-jung and the jurors.
The festival stated, “Lim Ji-yeon delivered a charismatic and profound performance in ‘Revolver’, making it one of the most powerful and captivating performances in East Asian cinema this year.”
Lim expressed her gratitude, saying, “I want to thank Director Oh Seung-wook and producer Han Jae-deok. I dedicate this award to the staff. I hope Korean cinema continues to flourish, and I will strive to become a global actress.”
Meanwhile, Lim Ji-yeon is scheduled to attend a GV (Guest Visit) following the screening of “Revolver” on the 24th to meet audiences worldwide.
Next month, she will appear in the new JTBC drama “The Tale of Mrs. Ok” on television.
