Zico Chicken announces a price increase of 2500 won for all menu items starting from the 7th… "Delivery fees and other burdens have increased"
Zico Chicken, an essential name in "chibap" (chicken served with rice), has announced a price increase for all menu items.
On the 2nd, Zico Chicken revealed that starting from the 7th, the prices of all menu items will be raised by 2500 won. This marks the first price increase in a year and one month since they raised prices by 1000 to 2000 won in March of last year.
As a result of the price increase, Zico Chicken's signature menu item, boneless seasoned chicken, will be sold for 23,500 won.

A representative of Zico Chicken explained, "We have been trying to keep logistics fees low while increasing franchisee margins, but due to the rising burden of delivery fees and labor costs, we have no choice but to increase prices."
Zico Chicken is not the only brand to enforce price hikes. Some franchises of the burger and chicken brand Mom's Touch have also implemented a dual pricing system (delivery pricing system), raising delivery menu prices by an average of about 15% since February.
Recently, G upeun Chicken has also raised delivery menu prices at some franchises in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and Ja Dam Chicken has increased chicken prices on delivery apps by 2000 won, implementing a 'delivery app pricing system'.

Meanwhile, Zico Chicken is a chicken franchise brand that began operations in Busan in 1994, with a total of 740 franchises.
With its enticing smoky flavor, Zico Chicken is beloved to the extent that it is called the "legend of the chibap world." Its unique sweet and spicy sauce combined with moist chicken, when mixed with rice, is said to be unbeatable as a "rice thief."
