Broadcast personality Lee Soo-geun clarified speculation surrounding the sale of a building.

Big Planet Made corrected on the 16th, stating, "The reason Lee Soo-geun is selling the building under his wife's name is not to cover medical expenses for family health issues." It continued, "The decision to sell the building was based on personal investment judgment and asset management plans," emphasizing, "It is unrelated to any specific personal circumstances or health issues."

Previously, reports emerged that Lee Soo-geun was selling a building and land under his wife's name, leading to speculation that it was for his wife Park Ji-yeon's kidney transplant surgery. The building is located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The couple purchased the land in February 2011 in joint names, while the building was registered solely under Park Ji-yeon's name.

They bought the property for 1.3 billion won and are expected to gain about 1 billion won in profits. There were implications of cashing in on their real estate to cover surgery and living expenses. This is pertinent as Park Ji-yeon is currently organizing her business ahead of her kidney transplant surgery next month. After suffering from toxemia during her second pregnancy in 2011, her kidney function was compromised.

She received a kidney transplant from her father but has been on dialysis for the past 14 years. Medical professionals have recommended a second transplant, which she is expected to receive from her biological brother this time.

Lee Soo-geun's representatives have clarified these speculations, stating, "We hope misunderstandings do not spread. We kindly ask for warm attention towards Lee Soo-geun."
