Actress Lee Se-young has taken the title of 'Spicy First Love.' On the 15th, the team behind MBC-TV's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Motel California' (written by Lee Seo-yoon, directed by Kim Hyung-min and Lee Jae-jin) released unpublished stills of Ji Kang-hee (played by Lee Se-young).
Ji Kang-hee is a character who has led a challenging life due to her exotic appearance against the backdrop of 'a rural motel being her home.' She left home as soon as she turned 20.
The drama provides a glimpse into her 12-year history, from fleeing her hometown at the age of 20 to her difficult life away from home and her current status as an interior designer.
Lee Se-young perfectly immersed herself into the character of Kang-hee. She wore colored lenses and even dyed her hair for the mixed-race setting, earning praise for renewing her life character.
Her different charm from her existing filmography also resonated. She has previously shown a graceful appearance in various historical dramas. This time, she is active as a bittersweet first love.
Her bold appearance is also being spotlighted by viewers. She provided vicarious satisfaction with scenes where she makes bold remarks against a boss with a power trip and classmates who disregard one's personality.
An official stated, "Lee Se-young has acquired the title of 'Cheeky First Love' with a new look. Please look forward to what else she will show as the plot unfolds."
Meanwhile, 'Motel California' is about a woman who was born and raised in a rural motel meeting her first love again 12 years later. It airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
