Actress Lee Se-young showcased her remarkable acting skills, captivating the drama with a new atmosphere.

Lee Se-young is currently appearing in MBC-TV's "Motel California" (written by Lee Seo-yoon, directed by Kim Hyung-min and Lee Jae-jin). She plays Ji Kang-hee, a mixed-race interior designer.

The drama covers various stories. At the age of 20, she left home in pursuit of her dreams. She portrays a self-reliant character by working at convenience stores and construction sites.

A poignant first love story is also featured. It deals with a pure love between childhood friends, Jeon Yeon-soo (played by Na In-woo) and Kang-hee. Their relationship is heart-wrenching, even just by seeing each other.

Lee Se-young perfected a high sync rate with the original character. She experimented with light brown eyes and bright hair color, transforming from the elegant charm she has previously shown to become a "human oil painting."

Kang-hee's character, with her "strong on the outside, soft on the inside" personality, enhances engagement with the drama. Despite growing up in an unusual environment, she does not bow under pressure and quietly endures the hardships of living in Seoul.

Lee Se-young convincingly portrayed the inner world of Kang-hee. She imprinted the character's diverse aspects through expressive eyes and a deep, resonant voice.

Meanwhile, "Motel California" aired its third episode on the 17th. According to Nielsen Korea, the viewership rating that day was 5.2% nationwide, setting a new record for the series.
