Actors Lee Min-ho and Gong Hyo-jin are commuting through 200,000 km of the atmosphere back and forth. On the 16th, tvN revealed the poster for the new weekend drama "Ask the Stars" (written by Seo Sook-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo), which depicts astronauts commuting to a space station.
First, the vast scenery was captivating. It showed a huge space station orbiting a certain section beyond Earth's atmosphere. Some people located at one corner of the station were also captured small by the camera.
The daily lives of the astronauts unfolded. Commander Eve Kim (played by Gong Hyo-jin) is shown with folded arms. Also notable are Gong Ryong (played by Lee Min-ho), who came to space as a tourist, and fruit fly researcher Kang Kang-soo (played by Oh Jung-se).
Various astronauts gathered together, including astronaut Park Dong-ah (played by Kim Joo-heon), space station commander Kang Chief (played by Lee El), space scientist Mina Lee (played by Lee Cho-hee), and Lee Seung-joon (played by Heo Nam-joon). Among them, Gong Ryong, Eve Kim, Kang Kang-soo, Mina Lee, and Lee Seung-joon are preparing to disembark at their destination. Kang Chief, Park Dong-ah, Han Si-won, and Ma Eun-soo are also calmly looking outside.
A unique mood exclusive to a space office drama was expressed. In particular, it depicted the astronauts’ mode of transportation as an ordinary office commuter's subway scene, hinting at the daily life on the space station. It hinted at the astronauts' joys and sorrows. An official stated, "As the tagline '200,000 km commute, we go to the space station every day' suggests, it depicts the astronauts' eventful daily lives."
"Ask the Stars" is a space-themed drama about the life outside Earth of boss Eve (played by Gong Hyo-jin), who works on a zero-gravity space station, and an uninvited guest Gong Ryong (played by Lee Min-ho) with a secret mission.
The drama will premiere at 9:20 p.m. on the 4th of next month.
