Real Madrid operated in a 4-4-2 formation, with Kylian Mbappé and Gonzalo García positioned at the front, and Vinícius Júnior, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Jude Bellingham, and Arda Güler providing support from the second line.

The defense consisted of Francisco García, Raúl Asensio, Antonio Rüdiger, and Federico Valverde, with Thibaut Courtois in goal.

In the early minutes of the match, PSG's decisive opportunities were thwarted by Courtois's successive saves.

In the 4th minute, Fabian Ruiz's surprise shot from the right side of the penalty box was blocked by Courtois, and shortly after, he delivered another fantastic save to deny Meneses's shot.

However, two minutes later, PSG finally broke the deadlock. In the 6th minute, Doué's cross was intercepted by Real defender Asensio, who lost the ball to Dembélé under pressure, allowing Ruiz to finish and shake the net.
