Lee Kang-in Achieves Early Ligue 1 Title with PSG
Lee Kang-in (24, Paris Saint-Germain) has added another trophy to his collection, showcasing his 'winning instinct' as his team, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), clinches the Ligue 1 title early.
On the 6th (Korean time), PSG defeated Angers 1-0 in the 28th round home match of the 2024-2025 season at Parc des Princes in Paris, France.
With this victory, PSG accumulated 74 points (22 wins, 6 draws), widening the gap with second-placed AS Monaco to 22 points. Regardless of the results of remaining matches, they have secured the top spot in the league. This win represents PSG's fourth consecutive title and their 13th overall in Ligue 1.
On this day, PSG head coach Luis Enrique deployed a 4-3-3 formation.
At the forefront were Désiré Doué, Gonçalo Ramos, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, while the midfield consisted of Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, and Warren Zaïre-Emery.

Lee Kang-in was not included in the match roster for this game. He has been focusing on recovery after injuring his ankle during an international match against Oman last month. While he recently returned to team training, he opted for rest instead of risking participation.
The fact that PSG was already on the verge of victory was also taken into account.
Coach Enrique made a bold rotation, keeping in mind the UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarterfinal first leg match against Aston Villa scheduled for midweek.
Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, and João Neves also missed out due to the rotation policy.
PSG dominated the game. The winning goal came in the 55th minute. An Angers defender cleared the ball, directing it to Khvicha, who delivered an accurate cross. Doué, charging forward, finished with a right-footed shot, netting the decisive goal.
'Winning Specialist' Lee Kang-in Collects Five Trophies at PSG
Since joining PSG, Lee has amassed five trophies. He joined the team for the 2023-2024 season and achieved a triple crown in just one season, winning Ligue 1, the Trophée des Champions, and the Coupe de France.
Adding the Ligue 1 and Super Cup titles this season, he has increased PSG's trophy count to five.
Before PSG, he also experienced victory as part of Valencia during the 2018-2019 season, winning the Copa del Rey. Even after his transfer, he has managed to lift trophies every season, establishing himself as a symbol of success.
Lee Kang-in has also earned a gold medal as a national representative. He contributed to the gold medal victory of the South Korea U-23 team, led by coach Hong Myung-bo, at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
This season, PSG's goals are even higher. If they remain unbeaten in the remaining league matches, they will achieve an invincible title.
