Lee Jun-seok Criticizes Lee Jae-myung at Gwangju Campaign Site
Reform Party presidential candidate Lee Jun-seok, who visited Gwangju, made pointed criticisms of Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung during his campaign.
On the 19th, Candidate Lee Jun-seok held a concentrated rally in front of the back gate of Chonnam National University in Gwangju, stating, "The most dangerous thing is a candidate who makes statements without evidence."
He continued, "If someone is evading by calling things extreme and has had six months to prepare but has no promises, weren't they only thinking about whom to oppress after taking power?"

Lee Jun-seok's remarks appear to directly target Lee Jae-myung, who faced off against him in a TV debate the previous day.
On that day, Lee Jae-myung used the term 'extreme' five times in response to Lee Jun-seok's critique.
Lee Jun-seok emphasized, "A candidate who twists their words without concrete evidence in front of the people concerned about South Korea is the most dangerous."
He added, "The democracy we have today is possible because of the courage and spirit of the citizens who fought against the new military government on May 18, 1980," and urged, "Please protect democracy from those who dream of dictatorship by breaking the separation of powers."

Meanwhile, the TV debate for presidential candidates, held at the SBS studio on the 18th, featured Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo, Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok, and Democratic Labor Party candidate Kwon Young-guk.
The debate topic was 'Economy,' and each candidate fiercely battled over issues such as overcoming low growth, trade strategies during the Trump era, and enhancing national competitiveness.
The next TV debate will take place on the 23rd at 8 PM at the KBS studio, featuring Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo, Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok, and Democratic Labor Party candidate Kwon Young-guk.
The next debate topic will be 'Society,' where candidates will discuss overcoming social conflicts, integration measures, preparations for an aging society, pension and healthcare reforms, and climate crisis responses.
