Actor Lee Joon-hyuk makes a bold return with ‘Good or Bad Dong Jae.’
On the 24th, TVING revealed the first stills of prosecutor Seo Dong-jae (played by Lee Joon-hyuk) from the original series ‘Good or Bad Dong Jae’ (written by Hwang Ha-jung & Kim Sang-won, directed by Park Gun-ho, creator Lee Soo-yeon). These stills hint at his tumultuous survival story.
Seo Dong-jae is a beloved character from the previous works ‘Stranger’ seasons 1 and 2. Known as a sponsor prosecutor, he is annoying yet irresistibly charming. With sharp intuition and seasoned pragmatism, he has navigated numerous crises.
In this new series, he attempts yet another life reboot. In the stills, he remains cool and exudes a familiar sense of desperation. At a crime scene marked with police lines, he showcases sharp charisma.
He also displays a face filled with anger, hinting at an unusual event. Nicknamed ‘Master of Perception,’ he intensely searches for clues, exuding a unique passion.
The tumultuous survival story hints at him confronting someone in the prosecutor’s office. His desperate expressions and gestures to escape danger give a glimpse into his thrilling and poignant narrative.
An official stated, “The past as a sponsor prosecutor has branded Seo Dong-jae, bringing out his opportunistic instincts. He starts another dangerous tightrope walk. Watch to see if he can wash away his infamy and become an exemplary prosecutor.”
Lee Joon-hyuk shared, “Seo Dong-jae’s vitality is truly special. I never imagined returning as Dong-jae, but I gave it my all this time. The deeper I explored, the more fun I found it.”
‘Good or Bad Dong Jae’ is a spin-off of the ‘Stranger’ series, portraying Seo Dong-jae’s intense survival story. It focuses on his desire to be recognized in the present rather than his past as a sponsor prosecutor and his mud-slinging fight with Nam Wan-sung (played by Park Sung-woong) who digs into his errors.
Writer Lee Soo-yeon participates as the creator, having written ‘Stranger’ seasons 1 and 2. Writers Hwang Ha-jung and Kim Sang-won, who collaborated on the series, took on the script, with Park Gun-ho directing.
‘Good or Bad Dong Jae’ will premiere its first episode on the 10th of next month.
