Actor Lee Jin-wook showcases a high-level priest role. On the 19th, NEW released the stills of Lee Jin-wook's character in the film "Black Nuns" (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae). They also opened interviews with the director and actors.
Lee Jin-wook transforms into Father 'Bao-luo', a psychiatrist who opposes exorcism. He is a character who believes that the boy 'Hee-jun', who suffers from abnormal symptoms, can be treated with medicine.
In the film, Father Bao-luo faces off against nuns 'Yunia' and 'Michaela', who prepare a forbidden ritual. Nevertheless, he tries his best to save 'Hee-jun'.
Director Kwon Hyuk-jae said, "Lee Jin-wook was the most suitable actor for the role of Father Bao-luo," adding, "He proposed many good ideas during the preparation and filming process."
Lee Jin-wook also stated, "Why did this priest come to believe he could treat the boy with medicine? I tried to analyze the character while also creating a backstory for him."
"Black Nuns" is an occult film that tells the story of people who resort to forbidden rituals to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit. The movie stars Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-bin, among others.
The film is set to be released in theaters on January 24th next year.
