Actor from 'Blue Tower' Joins Lee Jae-myung's Presidential Campaign

Actor Lee Jang-hoon, who gained recognition as a battalion commander in the tvN sitcom 'Blue Tower,' will take charge of the campaign events for Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.

Lee Jang-hoon has been appointed as the team leader in the election operations room of the campaign committee, overseeing election events across the nation. He is responsible for ensuring that the candidate's key messages are effectively conveyed.

Born in 1972, Lee Jang-hoon is joining this campaign due to his extensive stage experience and recognized content planning abilities.

According to sources from the campaign, this appointment was made at the suggestion of the election operations staff, who have maintained a relationship with Lee Jang-hoon over the years. He operates a company related to content production and has reportedly performed various stage and event directing roles.

"I participated with a mindset similar to that of an independence movement"

On the 12th, Sisa Journal reported that Lee Jang-hoon stated, "In the national situation of a early presidential election, I participated with a mindset similar to that of an independence movement," adding, "I wanted to make a meaningful contribution in the field where I can do my best."

He mentioned to the media, "Stage directing is not just about installing the stage or adjusting the sound; it is about conveying the message in an impactful way," noting that he is currently in charge of overall coordination at a site where the second campaign schedule is planned.

On the first official day of election campaigning, the candidate will conduct three rallies in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Daejeon. He began his first rally at Cheonggye Plaza in Seoul at 9 a.m. under the theme 'Revolution of Light.' At 3 p.m., he will host a rally at Central Park in Dongtan, Hwaseong, focusing on 'K-Semiconductors,' and at 6 p.m., he will continue with a rally on Sky Road in Daejeon, emphasizing 'K-Science and Technology.'

Lee is tasked with coordinating the flow of each stage while planning the messages and performances together.

Besides his presence as an actor, Lee Jang-hoon has also distinguished himself in the fields of directing and performing arts. The sitcom 'Blue Tower,' which he starred in, gained explosive popularity when it aired in 2013 by presenting military life in a humorous manner; his 'battalion commander character' was praised for blending reality and comedy simultaneously.

Since then, Lee has focused on performance planning and directing video content, gaining recognition for both his acting and planning skills in the industry.
