Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, revealed his personal threats due to recurring terror warnings after concluding his second listening tour.
During the live broadcast titled 'Final Wrap of the Second Listening Tour,' streamed on the YouTube channel 'Deliminju' on the evening of the 7th, the candidate lamented, "I want to shake hands and interact warmly, but due to the constant terror warnings, I have received many requests to refrain from speaking in exposed locations."
He continued, "It's disappointing to think that we have come to a world where we must be cautious about being shot while wearing bulletproof vests. In one case, I was unable to hold any public speech at all."
He emphasized, "I am more worried that the pain I am experiencing might negatively affect the politics or the fate of the Republic of Korea. We need to change the world itself."

Kim Tae-sun, a lawmaker who is accompanying the candidate, posted on his social media showcasing Lee in a bulletproof vest, highlighting his resolute determination.
Lawmaker Kim stated, "The bulletproof vest weighs about 3 kg. It's natural to feel hot and restricted, yet Candidate Lee has never mentioned discomfort."
He added, "It seems that he accepts all of this as his fate. This attitude may stem from a sense of mission to end the politics of hatred and division that define the opponent as an enemy through his own hands."
The Democratic Party announced on the 3rd that there have been repeated reports of planned attacks against Candidate Lee, and they would limit direct contact between the candidate and the general public. As a result, he will refrain from handshakes or embraces henceforth, only accommodating photo opportunities or autograph requests from children.

The candidate will begin the third listening tour, which spans the Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions, for two days starting on the 9th.
This tour, dubbed 'Silla Belt of Yeongnam,' will start in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, covering Yeongcheon, Chilgok, Gimcheon, Seongju, and Goryeong, with visits to Changnyeong, Ham-an, Uiryeong, Jinju, Sacheon, and Hadong in Gyeongnam on the 10th.
He remarked, "This is a matter that affects the fate of the country, and our physical difficulties are nothing compared to that. I believe it is rather a joyful experience compared to the suffering of the people." He also noted, "When I visit certain areas, I hear people say, 'A presidential candidate has never come to our neighborhood,' and I plan to visit such places to greet them."
