The leadership of the People Power Party decides not to attend the 4.3 Memorial Ceremony
It seems that the leadership of the People Power Party will not attend the 4.3 Memorial Ceremony in Jeju this year as well.

Jeju Province announced that Kwon Young-se, chairman of the People Power Party’s emergency response committee, Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader, and Lee Yang-soo, the secretary-general, had all informed that they would not be attending.
This decision was reportedly made due to the impeachment ruling of President Yoon Suk-yeol scheduled for the day after tomorrow (the 4th).
On the other hand, opposition party representatives such as Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, Kim Sun-min, acting leader of the Justice Reform Party, Kwon Young-guk, leader of the Justice Party, and Cheon Ah-ram, leader of the Reform New Party, are expected to attend.

This memorial ceremony is considered an important event to honor the victims of the Jeju 4.3 Incident, and the participation of political figures is drawing attention.
The Jeju 4.3 Incident was a massacre of civilians that occurred on Jeju Island from 1948 to 1954, with a memorial ceremony held every year on April 3rd to commemorate it. The news of the People Power Party leadership's absence has elicited disappointment from some bereaved families and civic groups.
