Singer Lee Hyori has added a new chapter to her philanthropy. She has been in continuous contact with a YouTuber suffering from a rare disease, visiting her in the hospital and attending a festival together.

On the 16th, a representative from Antenna stated in a phone call with 'Dispatch' that "the artist personally reached out, separate from the company," indicating that it was her own decision.

The YouTuber, referred to as A, uploaded a vlog on her YouTube channel on the 15th, revealing in the title, "Actually, Hyori unnie came to visit me at the hospital." A suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa, a genetic condition.

A met Lee Hyori by chance when they were seated next to each other on a flight to Jeju in 2023. Lee listened to A throughout the flight as she shared her struggles with her illness.

Afterward, Lee Hyori continued to reach out to A. A recounted, "A few months later, I received an email from her manager saying Hyori unnie was curious about how I was doing."

At that time, A was hospitalized, and Lee visited her in the hospital. A said, "Even though she must have been busy, she spent an hour chatting with me and brightened my dull hospital life."

Lee Hyori kept in contact with A, suggesting they attend the 'Seoul Jazz Festival 2025' together. The two attended the festival on the 30th of last month.

They watched Lee Sang Soon's performance together, and in the video, Lee Hyori is seen dancing and embracing A, enjoying the festival.

A expressed, "It was such an exciting and fun memory for me, who lives a quiet daily life," and added, "I'm so grateful to Hyori unnie for creating unforgettable memories."

Meanwhile, Lee Hyori donated 200 million won to the 'Beautiful Foundation' last month alongside Lee Sang Soon to support young people preparing for independence.
