A woman seriously injured after being bitten by a large dog tied up at a car center is embroiled in controversy over inadequate medical compensation.
An incident has occurred where a woman who suffered severe injuries from a large dog tied up at a car center is not receiving appropriate medical expense compensation.
On the 27th, JTBC's "Incident Desk" aired a report from A, who reported that his girlfriend had been bitten by a dog.
According to A's testimony, the incident took place around noon on the 15th at a car center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. A and his girlfriend, B, visited the car center for vehicle repairs, and there was a parking and repair area behind the car center office where a large dog was tied up.
After the vehicle's headlight replacement was completed, A went into the office, while B, left outside alone, was standing with her back to the tied-up dog when it suddenly growled and grabbed her outer clothing as she attempted to get into the car.
When B tried to take off her clothes, the dog bit her left hand and, after she withdrew her left hand, it attacked her right hand.
By the time A and the car center owner rushed over after hearing B's screams, the dog had already bitten B's left knee.
**Shocking scene of the incident and serious injuries**

A and the owner managed to subdue the dog, but B's knee had already lost flesh.
Even more shocking is A's testimony that the dog had eaten the severed flesh.
"The flesh from her knee was completely gone. The emergency services took pictures, but the flesh had already been eaten by the dog. I witnessed that firsthand," A claimed.
It is reported that there are no CCTV cameras installed at the car center, making it impossible to confirm the exact circumstances of the incident.
B was immediately transported to a hospital, where she suffered severe injuries requiring six weeks of recovery, including nerve and ligament tears in her left knee and fractures in both hands. She has already undergone skin graft surgery but requires further treatment, including nerve examinations and plastic surgery, with medical expenses reportedly amounting to around 13 million won.
**Conflicting claims from the dog owner and the victim**
The dog owner, who is the car center's owner, asserts that the victim was at fault.
He stated, "B must have approached the tied-up dog and touched it to get bitten," and countered that "the dog had its mouth wide open and should have been removed gently, but A forcibly pulled it away, causing more flesh to fall off." He also explained that the leash was long because he had made it so in his store.
On the other hand, the victim's side expressed dissatisfaction, stating, "We haven't even received an apology from the dog owner since the incident."
The dog owner's acquaintance suggested, "We'll settle later through pet insurance," and "If it's urgent, I'll lend you the medical costs," but the victim's side said they could not accept such offers given the uncertainty over the insurance payout.
Even more shocking is the fact that the victim's side received a remark from the dog owner's acquaintance: "There have been many dog bite incidents before. Go ahead and take legal action if you want; we've always been acquitted."

Based on confirmations through 119 emergency services, it has been revealed that another dog bite incident had already occurred at the car center this year.
In response, the car center owner claimed, "There was an incident where a drunk person entered the yard and got bitten by a dog, but after police investigation, it was concluded as 'no wrongdoing,' making it impossible to keep the dog due to fear of such situations."
Currently, the victim's side has filed a police complaint against the car center owner for negligent bodily harm.
