A YouTuber who waved the Taegeukgi at Baekdu Mountain and had it confiscated, even signing a memorandum.
A South Korean YouTuber was captured on video waving the Taegeukgi at the Baekdu Mountain Heaven Lake tourist site before having it taken by local officials.
On the 25th, a live broadcast showing YouTuber A embarking on a trip to Baekdu Mountain was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Si Soo Gi Rit'.
In the released video, A unfurled the Taegeukgi against the backdrop of Baekdu Heaven Lake and began singing the national anthem.
About 20 seconds later, a man, apparently a local official, suddenly appeared and snatched the Taegeukgi from A's hands.

Another tourist nearby remarked, "You shouldn't wave the Taegeukgi. This is Chinese territory. Just being able to leave without being taken is a relief."
A expressed, "It seems like China is strict. It appears the management has this set up, but since it's the Communist Party, there's nothing we can do. My Taegeukgi was confiscated. They are telling me to leave, but can’t I get it back? I seem to be very angry about it."
A then tried to retrieve the Taegeukgi using a phone translation app, asking officials, "Can't you return the Taegeukgi? I will just put it in my bag and take it with me," but was unable to reclaim it.
Shortly after, A ended the broadcast, following the local officials.
Approximately six hours later, A explained what happened next in a live broadcast. A was questioned by the public security and had all of their belongings, including the photo album on their phone, checked.
Regarding the incident, A stated, "Since Baekdu Mountain is near the border with North Korea, waving the Taegeukgi is seen as a potential cause of conflict, and that seems to be why China intervened," adding that they had signed a memorandum stating they would not engage in such acts.
Some netizens who visited Baekdu Mountain have expressed that they were cautioned not to unfurl the Taegeukgi or sing the national anthem while there.
In fact, the import of items marked with the Taegeukgi, various banners, and flags is prohibited at Baekdu Mountain.
