Netflix's reality show 'Physical: 100' is returning as an American version.

On the 16th, Netflix announced, "The production of 'Physical: 100 USA' (working title) has been confirmed. This marks the start of its global expansion as an absolute powerhouse in physical competition."

'Physical: 100' is a Korean survival reality show funded by Netflix, where 100 top athletes challenge various missions to find the best physique. Two seasons have been released, creating a sensation worldwide. Notably, the first season reached number one on Netflix's Global Top 10, a first for a Korean variety show.

The American version features a large number of elite participants selected from sports, fitness, and military fields. They will engage in extreme challenges to determine the perfect physique.

Yoo Gi-hwan, Director of Non-Fiction at Netflix, stated, "'Physical: 100' has received tremendous love worldwide. It has proven that Korean variety shows can succeed on a global scale."

Regarding its expansion overseas, he mentioned, "We expect to offer a different kind of entertainment while achieving the global expansion of Korean variety."

In addition to the American version, a European version is also in the works, following the same format. "This suggests that we are rapidly expanding worldwide," he explained.

There were also discussions about the third season of 'Physical: 100', titled 'Physical: Asia', which will feature Philippine boxing champion Manny Pacquiao as a participant.

Director Yoo noted, "Representatives from various Asian countries will compete in a national competition," and he promised, "We will present an even hotter and evolved aspect of physical survival."

Meanwhile, 'Physical: Asia' is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year.
