This time is a new national record, reducing the previous Korean record of 38.68 seconds set at the national championships on June 14 last year by 0.12 seconds. Although they finished 4th in the preliminary round and failed to advance to the finals or secure a berth at the World Championships to be held in Tokyo in September, this achievement marks a significant milestone for Korean athletics.
