She added, "I was curious about the synergy that would come from the meticulous narrative by writer Lee Young-jong and the stylish direction of director Byeon Young-joo. I decided to participate without hesitation."

She expressed satisfaction with her collaboration with the director, saying, "Director Byeon combines strong leadership with a unique wit perfectly. He raised the quality of the work with his deep expertise stemming from experience."

She recalled, "The director played the role of a spiritual pillar for the team with his charisma that encompasses the entire set. After filming, his humorous talk lightened the atmosphere and was a great source of strength."

'Mantis' is a crime thriller drama based on a French drama of the same name. It tells the story of a police officer’s son who collaborates with his mother, who committed a series of murders 20 years ago.

Go Hyun-jung plays 'Jeong Yi-shin,' who earned the nickname 'Mantis' after brutally killing five men. Her dense performance is expected to add tension to the drama.

Meanwhile, 'Mantis' will premiere at 9:50 PM on the 5th of next month.
