
JTBC's "Knowing Bros" expressed condolences for Lee Soo-geun's father's passing and decided to cancel the recording. A representative from JTBC stated in a phone call with 'Dispatch' on the 6th, "The recording scheduled for the 7th for 'Knowing Bros' has been canceled," showing consideration for Lee Soo-geun, who has lost his father.
The broadcast for that day will be replaced with previously recorded footage. "There is a completed recording that will not affect the broadcast. The next recording date has not yet been determined," they added.
"Knowing Bros" has reached its 10th year this year. The members show a family-like chemistry, and notably, Lee Soo-geun's father was close enough to appear on the show via phone.
Lee Soo-geun experienced his father's passing on the 5th. His agency stated, "He passed away due to a prolonged illness (at the age of 81). We ask for your support and consideration to allow him to grieve properly."
The funeral is being held at Asan Medical Center in Seoul and will be quietly carried out with family and friends. The burial is scheduled for 7:30 AM on the 7th at the National Cemetery.
Meanwhile, "Knowing Bros" airs every Saturday at 9 PM. Lee Soo-geun is also appearing on JTBC's "Han Moon-cheol's Black Box Review."
