Kim Jong-in: "Han Dong-hoon is the Only Justification as the Presidential Candidate of the People Power Party"

Kim Jong-in, the former chair of the People Power Party's Emergency Response Committee, claimed regarding the upcoming presidential candidates, "The only person who can justify himself as a candidate for the presidency from the People Power Party is former party leader Han Dong-hoon."

Kim dismissed the potential for victory of Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and former Minister Kim Moon-soo.

During his appearance on MBC Radio’s 'Kim Jong-bae’s Focus', Kim commented on the "endorsement theory for Prime Minister Han Duck-soo," stating, "There are no viable candidates in the People Power Party, and this is something that those close to former President Yoon Seok-youl thought up in desperation."

He criticized, "Prime Minister Han is directly involved in the current martial law situation. In a situation where the president has been ousted, what face does Prime Minister Han have to run for president?"

He strongly stated, "He should neither run nor be allowed to run. He is not suitable as a presidential candidate."

Kim Dismisses Kim Moon-soo as a Candidate and Reveals Reasons for Supporting Han Dong-hoon

Regarding former Minister Kim Moon-soo, Kim said, "I think he believed in his rising support in polls and came out as someone unexpected."

He declared, "The People Power Party absolutely cannot win by putting forward former Minister Kim as a candidate."

He also assessed the possibility of victory for former Minister Kim in the primaries, noting, "Looking at the trend in polls, former Minister Kim’s support continues to decline compared to the beginning," adding, "It is a situation where even winning the primaries cannot be guaranteed."

In contrast, he evaluated former party leader Han Dong-hoon as "the only person who can justify himself as a presidential candidate from the People Power Party."

Kim addressed the label of 'traitor' concerning former leader Han, saying, "That is the responsibility of former President Yoon Seok-youl. I do not think former leader Han is a traitor."

He further elaborated, "In a sense, former President Yoon should be thankful to former leader Han. Since the martial law has been lifted, former President Yoon's position has improved a bit."

Evaluation of Lee Jae-myung and Proposal of Victory Strategy

Kim projected that if former leader Han passes the primaries and competes against Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, "He will have to face a very difficult battle."

He emphasized, "We cannot win merely by being anti-Lee Jae-myung. We need to completely abandon the conservative stance we have had so far and establish a new agenda to participate in the election."

On Representative Lee Jae-myung, he remarked, "He is in the most advantageous position. Although many people despise him, I believe he is the one who has prepared the most for 'what he will do if he becomes president.'"
