Actors Kim Young-dae and Park Ju-hyun are forging a special friendship narrative.
On the 19th, KBS-2TV released stills from their upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama, "Perfect Family" (directed by Isao Yukisada), hinting at the crisis and character stories that Kim Young-dae and Park Ju-hyun will face in the drama.
"Perfect Family" is a mystery thriller drama. It tells the twist-filled story of a seemingly happy and perfect family that begins to suspect each other due to the daughter's murder.
The story opens with Choi Sun-hee (played by Park Ju-hyun) getting entangled in a murder case. Her friend Park Kyung-ho (played by Kim Young-dae), Lee Soo-yeon (played by Choi Ye-bin), and Ji Hyun-woo (played by Lee Si-woo) also get involved, causing their relationships to falter.
In the stills, Choi Sun-hee and Park Kyung-ho showcase their deep friendship. Dressed in school uniforms, the two are seen smiling at each other or putting their heads together to look at a memo pad.
Kim Young-dae appears as Park Kyung-ho, a high school student who is attractive and has it all—looks, personality, and family background. Park Ju-hyun plays Choi Sun-hee, a character who never misses out on being the top in anything.
A representative said, "Kim Young-dae convincingly portrays a character who moves forward without knowing his fate. Park Ju-hyun completely immerses herself in the character's turbulent emotions."
Additionally, Choi Ye-bin and Lee Si-woo take on the roles of Lee Soo-yeon and Ji Hyun-woo, respectively. The representative added, "Both actors vividly bring their characters to life, showcasing a strong presence with their realistic performances."
Directed by Isao Yukisada, "Perfect Family" marks the Japanese director's first Korean drama, adding his unique style to the popular webtoon it is based on.
"Perfect Family" will premiere on the 14th of next month at 9:50 PM.
