Actors Kim So-hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop rekindle memories of first love.

tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Is It A Coincidence?' (written by Park Ge-ro, directed by Song Hyun-wook) revealed its points of interest on the 19th. These include the chemistry between the main characters, the details of the romance, and the synergy of the performances.

Kim So-hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop traverse ten years in this work. They move between their pure and fresh 19-year-old school days and the present day at 29, searching for true love.

Kim So-hyun plays the role of animation producer Lee Hong-joo. She becomes a 'love skeptic' following the harsh after-effects of a breakup. She faces changes upon reuniting with Kang Hoo-young (played by Chae Jong-hyeop).

She said, "I hope the viewers can feel excitement and nostalgia. Please look forward to the chance meeting of Hong-joo and Hoo-young, and their quirky and lovable episodes."

Chae Jong-hyeop plays financial planner Kang Hoo-young. Hoo-young possesses a handsome appearance and sharp intellect. He experiences turbulent emotions upon meeting Hong-joo after ten years.

The unexpected arrival of love adds excitement to the plot. Chae Jong-hyeop said, "It's a calm yet deeply resonant drama. I hope you enjoy watching it."

A skilled production team completes the details. Directed by Song Hyun-wook, who earned the title 'master of romantic comedy' from works like 'Another Miss Oh.' He collaborates with rookie writer Park Ge-ro.

Director Song expressed confidence, saying, "It has a soft and tingling excitement. It properly showcases the essence of pure romance with its thrilling details."

Writer Park Ge-ro also added, "It's the most realistic 'fantasy,'" explaining that "piecing together the first love memories of Hong-joo and Hoo-young will be a unique fun."

The performance ensemble of trusted supporting actors is also noteworthy. Yoon Ji-on, Kim Da-som, Lee Won-jeong, Hwang Sung-bin, Choi Dae-chul, Kim Won-hae, Yoon Jung-hee, and Kim Jung-nan form a solid network.

Yoon Ji-on plays Bang Jun-ho, Hong-joo's first love and ex-boyfriend. Kim Da-som transforms into Kim Hye-ji, an English teacher at Ohbok High School and Hong-joo's close friend, bringing energy to the story.

Lee Won-jeong plays Kwon Sang-pil, Hong-joo’s male friend. Hwang Sung-bin transforms into Ohbok High School's physical education teacher Son Kyung-taek, adding fun with a unique love line.

Additionally, Choi Dae-chul becomes Hong-joo's landlord, Kim Won-hae takes the role of Ohbok High School's vice principal. Yoon Jung-hee shines as the CEO of 'Peter’s Pen.' Kim Jung-nan plays Hoo-young's mother, intensifying the drama.

Director Song commented, "Many actors who bring joy just by watching them are participating. You will see their vibrant and energetic performances," promising impeccable character play.

Meanwhile, 'Is It A Coincidence?' is a first love memory-recalling romance. The story is about clumsily meeting one's first love by chance and getting entangled in fate, falling in love once again. First broadcast on the 22nd.
