“Will you thaw this first love?”

Kim So-hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop heighten the excitement.

tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Is It a Coincidence?’ (written by Park Geu-ro, directed by Song Hyun-wook) revealed a reunion poster on the 3rd, featuring the gazes of the male and female protagonists.

Their narrative sparked curiosity. Lee Hong-joo (played by Kim So-hyun) and Kang Hoo-young (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) were lying on a sandy beach. Their affectionate glances were captured.

The story is about two people who were each other’s first love meeting again after 10 years. The key point is how their reunion and the revival of their past memories will bring about changes.

‘Is It a Coincidence?’ is a romance that evokes memories of first love. It’s a story where two people, clumsy and immature in their first love, meet again by chance and fall in love as if by destiny.

Kim So-hyun plays the role of Lee Hong-joo, an animation production PD. She became disillusioned with love after suffering the severe aftermath of a first love breakup during her school days.

Chae Jong-hyeop plays Kang Hoo-young, a financial planner. He boasts good looks and a sharp intellect. He faces a surge of emotions after reuniting with his first love, Lee Hong-joo.

The drama is directed by Song Hyun-wook, known for ‘The Beauty Inside’ and ‘Another Miss Oh’, earning the title “master of romantic comedies”. The script is written in collaboration with new writer Park Geu-ro.

The production team stated, “Look forward to seeing what kind of memories of first love they recall and how the revived emotions change them.”

They added, “Though clumsy and awkward, the sweet first love will bring out cheerful laughter,” and noted, “The chemistry between Kim So-hyun and Chae Jong-hyeop will also be a highlight.”

Meanwhile, ‘Is It a Coincidence?’ will premiere on the 22nd at 8:40 PM on tvN.
