Actor Kim Nam-gil has made a meaningful donation on Hangul Day. In collaboration with Seo Kyung-duk, a professor at Sungshin Women's University and a Korean promotion expert, he sent supplies to overseas Korean language schools.
Professor Seo recently visited 'Cannamsadang Hangul Culture School' located in Vancouver, Canada. To commemorate the 578th Hangul Day, he donated educational supplies in person. Kim Nam-gil participated as a strong supporter. Together with Professor Seo, they prepared various educational tools such as smart TVs and laptops, as well as numerous study supplies like Hangul notebooks, sketchbooks, and pens.
This marks the second time Professor Seo has donated educational supplies. It began on May 15th, commemorating 'King Sejong's Birth Day,' with a donation to 'Root Hangul School' in New York, USA.
Professor Seo Kyung-duk explained, "As K-pop and K-dramas become widely popular around the world, there are many foreigners and overseas Koreans who want to learn Korean," and added, "We aim to provide some assistance to their education."
Meanwhile, the two released a video about the 'Joseon National Sovereignty Association' on August 12, ahead of Liberation Day (August 15). They provided detailed information about the largest anti-Japanese secret organization in Joseon.
