Actors Kim Nam-gil and Kim Sung-kyun will showcase a fiery bromance. On the 29th, SBS-TV revealed a two-shot still of Kim Nam-gil and Kim Sung-kyun from the new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Fiery Priest 2'. Their chemistry remains strong despite a five-year hiatus, capturing a reunion scene at a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) shop.

'The Fiery Priest 2' is an unpredictable cooperative investigation drama. It tells the story of a passionate priest, Kim Hae-il, who moves to Busan to take on the nation's top drug cartel. By day, he is a priest, by night, he is the boss of the Heavenly Gang.

The still hints at their impeccable chemistry. A scene where Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil) and Goo Dae-young (played by Kim Sung-kyun) engage in a verbal spar at a tteokbokki shop is unveiled.

In the photo, Kim Hae-il has his mouth full of tteokbokki. When Goo Dae-young appears, he freezes, halting his eating show. As soon as Goo Dae-young sees Kim Hae-il, he starts his signature nagging.

Laughter ensues. Notably, a scene where Kim Hae-il stuffs a piece of oxtail into Goo Dae-young's mouth to stop his nagging is included. Goo Dae-young's eyes widen in surprise at the taste.

A source stated, "Kim Nam-gil and Kim Sung-kyun showed great chemistry as if they had just met yesterday," adding that they immersed into their characters as soon as filming began, despite meeting on set for the first time in five years.

The production team commented, "Many viewers who loved 'The Fiery Priest' were likely eager to see the chemistry between Kim Hae-il and Goo Dae-young again," and added, "From their first scene, it was evident that 'the best is the best'."

They continued, "The strong bromance between Kim Hae-il and Goo Dae-young will continue in 'The Fiery Priest 2'," adding, "Please look forward to the duo's impactful performances delivering massive laughter on a grander scale."

'The Fiery Priest 2' premieres on the 8th of next month at 10 PM.
