Candidate Kim Moon-soo's spouse, Seol Nan-young, emphasizes 'integrity' on conservative YouTube
Seol Nan-young, the spouse of Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, appeared on a conservative YouTube channel to highlight Kim's integrity.
On the 16th, Seol appeared on the YouTube channel 'Goh Seong-guk TV' and emphasized that Kim has lived a life distanced from money.
Seol stated, "Kim is very afraid of money and tries to avoid it," explaining, "He is someone who tries to maintain a great distance from money itself."
She continued, "It's like a habit formed from childhood, or perhaps it's the noble temperament of a Confucian family; he always tried to keep himself pure, clean, and dignified, saying 'I should not touch dirty money.'"

Seol indicated that Kim's values were also reflected in their children's education.
She said, “My daughter was very interested in English and wanted to choose the English department when applying for university. However, Kim persuaded her by saying, 'Do you know how noble the field of social work is? It is truly a profession for humanity.'”
When asked whether she regrets her daughter giving up on pursuing English for social work due to Kim's advice, Seol replied, "She respects her father a lot, and I think there was also some of her own will in making that decision."
The meeting and marriage of Kim Moon-soo and Seol Nan-young
Seol Nan-young met Kim Moon-soo, who was the union chairman of Hanil Dourco, while she was active as the chairman of the union at Sejin Electronics in 1978, and they got married in 1981.

Recalling her first impression of Kim, Seol said, "Even if he seemed a bit rustic, he was very smart and fresh."
She added, “He speaks and behaves in a dignified and slow manner,” jokingly mentioning, “He seemed faster when he was running away during the time of his underground work in the labor movement."

Seol also shared her experiences as a labor activist. She stated, "(The labor movement back then) was completely different from today's labor movement," emphasizing, "At that time, we demanded the most basic things. It is entirely different from political struggles today."
She added, "I had a strong conviction because we achieved one by one, demanding the guarantee of workers' rights and menstrual leave, which led me to believe, 'I should not get married and should do this work for my whole life.'"
