Actress Kim Hye-soo presents a new persona. She plays a quirky character in ‘Trigger.’ On the 20th, Disney+ released stills of Kim Hye-soo’s character from the new original series ‘Trigger’ (written by Kim Ki-ryang, directed by Yoo Seon-dong). Kim Hye-soo has transformed into “Oh So-ryong,” a live-in-the-moment team leader.

The stills capture the persistence of investigative journalist “Oh So-ryong” (played by Kim Hye-soo). She relentlessly pursues cases that no one else could solve. She doesn’t yield even an inch in the face of any attack or threat. Her eccentric actions provoke laughter.

There’s also a comical scene where Oh So-ryong collapses on the floor with a nosebleed. The character, filled with quirks and tenacity, aims to confront the bad guys.

Oh So-ryong specializes in grabbing the collar of bad guys. She becomes even more determined in critical situations. Director Yoo Seon-dong evaluated, “It is unimaginable for anyone but Kim Hye-soo to play Oh So-ryong.”

Kim Hye-soo introduced her character by saying, “In a world ruled by villains, she wants to believe in a world where justice and truth are alive,” and added, “She seems very righteous but has an intense quirkiness.” ‘Trigger’ is a comedy genre, focused on a broadcast station’s investigative reporting department.

It’s a story about the tenacious investigative reporters who start by pointing the camera in this flowery world to rescue the bad guys. Kim Hye-soo perfectly embodies Oh So-ryong. Oh So-ryong is the team leader of ‘Trigger,’ the investigative journalism program, living for only today.

She is someone who chooses to go crazy in the name of justice, roaming the news field with no regard for means and ways. ‘Trigger’ will be released on Disney+ on January 15th next year, with a total of 12 episodes airing two per week.
