Kim Go-eun makes a comeback as writer Yu-mi… ‘Yumi’s Cells 3’ set to premiere next year.

Actress Kim Go-eun has joined 'Yumi's Cells Season 3.'

Tving announced on the 13th, "A new series of 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, directed by Lee Sang-yeob) is being produced. Kim Go-eun will make her comeback as Yumi."

'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (hereafter referred to as 'Yumi's Cells 3') is a sequel to 'Yumi's Cells.' Based on the original webtoon, it returns after an approximately three-year hiatus.

Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) becomes a star writer. She still lives her daily life surrounded by her cells, who only know her. The series depicts her growth and the experiences of love.

The original production team is once again collaborating. Director Lee Sang-yeob continues his role from seasons 1 and 2. Writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran are also contributing their talents.

Kim Go-eun's participation particularly heightens expectations. She resonated with viewers as Yumi, showcasing her ability to fully embody the character and winning their affection.

Kim Go-eun expressed, "I am honored to continue Yumi's story," stating, "I want to portray well the various turning points Yumi experiences in her life." She also mentioned, "'Yumi's Cells' has been a journey with Yumi since 2021," expressing her desire to successfully wrap up the series.

In Season 3, an unpredictable romance comes to Yumi, who has achieved her dream as a writer. The excitement Yumi feels revives the vibrancy of Cell Village.

A representative stated, "Kim Go-eun will portray a more grown-up Yumi in a delightful manner," urging viewers to look forward to the activities of the cells, which involve love, sensibility, and more.

Meanwhile, 'Yumi's Cells 3' is set to be released on Tving in the first half of next year.
