The rookie group 'Kickflip' is making waves even before their official debut. Kickflip will release their first mini-album 'Flip it, Kick it!' on the 20th. The album has already surpassed 300,000 pre-orders as of the afternoon on the 15th.
They are attracting attention from global listeners, with their official Instagram reaching 400,000 followers and TikTok 630,000 followers. They are proving to be the next-generation K-pop super rookies.
On the 6th, they pre-released the music video for the track 'Yeah Right'. It ranked 9th on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide and 3rd in popular rising videos domestically. The new album features six tracks. The title track is 'Mama Said (What are you gonna be?)'. Keihoon, Amaru, Donghwa, and Minjae participated in the lyrics of both the title track and other tracks.
The album showcases a variety of genres, including 'Yeah Right', 'WARRIORS', 'Knock Knock', 'Like A Monster', and 'See You Tomorrow'.
Notably, the track 'WARRIORS' was written solely by DAY6's Young K, a JYP senior, enhancing the song’s completeness. Kickflip promises an addictive track.
Kickflip is a seven-member boy group. The lineup includes Keihoon, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minjae, Keiju, and Donghyun, each boasting their unique charm. The response from K-pop fans is enthusiastic.
Their team name refers to a high-level skateboarding trick that involves flipping the board 360 degrees with the feet, signifying their intention to break free from the usual and bring something new.
The members were picked for the list of '8 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Watch In 2025' by Grammy.com on the 4th.
Kickflip will release their new album on major music sites at 6 PM on the 20th. Additionally, they plan a debut show on Mnet M2 at 7 PM and a debut showcase at 9 PM on the same day.
